Summer Mix Young Ambassador application information

A Young Ambassadors main role will be to support the Summer Mix programme by:

Represent young people in their local community and reflect their needs and wishes
Help to design Summer Mix, making sure the programme puts on courses and activities young people really want.
Play an active role in the promotion of the Summer Mix programme at events, in schools on the radio/television etc
Take part in training that will develop you in your role as a Youth Ambassador
Represent Summer Mix and promote equal opportunities
Attend regular meetings with the Summer Mix staff team
Take part in evaluating the programme

Gain valuable skills and experience
Develop a greater sense of ownership for your communities
Opportunity to socialise and make new friends
Deeper understanding of different people, different cultures and religions
Greater self-esteem and confidence
A greater sense of being able to create change and have a level of control over elements of their lives
Recognition through the celebration of achievement and success
Valuable experience and accreditation that can be added to a CV to support applications for work/further education
Gain nationally recognised accreditation.
